WMTFOA OFFICIALS AWARDS

Ken Caouette Service Award- ​Named for WMTFOA founding member and 1984 and 1996 Olympic official Ken Caouette, this award for LONG TIME SERVICE to the Association is considered to be our highest honor. This is not an annual award.

​​Ted Dutkiewicz Award- Named for WMTFOA founding member, 1996 Olympic offical, and long-time Springfield Central High School coach Ted Dutkiewicz, this award is given annually to recognize the Association's "Outstanding Official".

Dick Atkinson Award- Named for long-time Southwick-Tolland Regional High School coach Richard Atkinson, originator of what has become the PVIAC Indoor Track League, this award is given annually to recognize outstanding service to the PVIAC Indoor Track League. This award has been given to officials, teams, coaches and individuals to recognize long-time service, sportsmanship​, or support to the league.

Rookie-of-the-Year- As the name implies, this award is presented each year to our most outstanding first-year official. ​

                                                                        WMTFOA ATHLETE AWARDS

Every year the WMTFOA recognizes an outstanding Western Mass senior track and field athletes with the Nate Hale and Vincent Falardeau Awards. All nominees will receive a certificate of nomination, and the recipients will receive a monetary gift and an engraved plaque. The nominees and the recipient will be announced at the Western Mass D1 and D2 Championship Meets in May.

Coaches and Officials are encouraged to submit the names of those athletes who are deserving of this honor based on their commitment, sportsmanship, and character.
